Liane Sumida Named AAA Hawaii General Manager

Liane Sumida, who has been with AAA Hawaii since 2005, has been named general manager of AAA Hawaii. She succeeds Diane Peterson, who accepted a position with AAA in Southern California.  

The appointment is effective immediately.  In addition to leading the member service team, Sumida will continue to be responsible for the sales team as well. Sumida has been with AAA Hawaii for eight years, first as a top sales agent and later as the Insurance Business Manager in 2009.  She has been a member of the sales team in Hawaii since the Interinsurance Exchange began selling insurance in the islands. 

“I’m happy to have this opportunity to help my team provide our members with AAA’s world class products and services,” said Sumida.

“It’s very exciting to be able to show case all of AAA Hawaii products and services.  In addition to our world-class Roadside Assistance, AAA Hawaii offers A+ A.M. Best rated insurance, a comprehensive travel agency and discounts at many participating businesses.  AAA is a very exciting place to be,” she added.

AAA Hawaii has 137,000 members who are served at 1130 N. Nimitz Highway, Suite A170.  The branch provides travel services, insurance, including auto, home, and life, financial services and AAA memberships. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The telephone number is (808) 593-2221.
