The Hawaii state gas price was unchanged from last week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch. The $4.36 a gallon state average is the same price as last Thursday, three cents more than last month and the same price ($4.36) on this day last year.
Honolulu’s average price remained steady at $4.34 a gallon for regular unleaded – unchanged for three weeks, six cents more than last month and eight cents more than a year ago. In Hilo, the average gas price is $4.17 per gallon, down three cents from last week, four cents less than last month and 21 cents less than this time a year ago. Wailuku’s average is $4.45 a gallon, unchanged from last Thursday, two cents more than last month and 11 cents less than on this day last year.
“Some average gas prices are stabilizing or dipping around the islands,” said AAA Hawaii General Manager Liane Sumida. “Residents and visitors can enjoy the pause in average gas prices this holiday weekend,” she added.
