Readers of HAWAI’I Magazine have named the AAA Travel Agency at AAA Hawaii as a Best Travel Agent or Agency in the magazine’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards featured in the April issue. The travel-related awards can be found at http://www.hawaiimagazine.com.

“It’s always an honor to be recognized by an outside organization, and even more special when it’s recognition from a popular local publication and its readers,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaii General Manager. “Our specialty is helping AAA members plan vacations and trips of a lifetime in other world destinations and share the distinctive insights into Hawaiian culture and local information about the Islands lifestyle,” she added.

Hawai’i Magazine provides insight into how to experience the best the Islands have to offer and helps readers plan for new vacations.  The publication also provides an understanding of history, culture and the Hawai’i landscape, according to its web site. Hawai’i Magazine has more than 200,000 readers per issue, and is locally-owned by PacificBasin, headquartered in Honolulu.

The magazine’s annual readers’ poll also recognized Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, and Royal Caribbean – all AAA Travel Agency preferred providers – in the Best Cruise Line for Travel to Hawaii category. Hertz -- also a AAA Travel preferred partner – received a Best Car Rental Company nod from the publication.

According to Sumida, the free AAA Mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android can also help travelers.  The app can be used by AAA members to map a trip, find discounts, book a hotel and access roadside assistance. It is available at www.AAA.com/mobile.
