AAA Hawaii: Gas Prices Stabilize

Hawaii pump prices stabilized throughout most of the islands since last week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch. Today’s statewide average price is $2.90, which is the same price as last Thursday, six cents higher than a month ago, and three cents higher on this date a year ago, according to GasPrices.AAA.com 

 

In Honolulu, today’s average price is $2.78, which is the same price as last Thursday, seven cents more than on this date last month and seven cents higher than last year.  The Hilo average price is $2.85, which is up three cents since last Thursday, eight cents higher than last month and nine cents higher than on this date a year ago.  Wailuku’s average is $3.31, which is the same price as last Thursday, six cents more than on this date last month and one cent more than on this date a year ago.

 

“Gas prices in the West continue to be the highest in the country, with every state in the region landing on the top ten list of the most expensive markets:  Hawaii, $2.90, California, $2.78, Washington, $2.70, Alaska, $2.63, Oregon, $2.51, and Nevada, $2.52,” said AAA Hawaii General Manager Liane Sumida. “Plan your route and consolidate errands for maximum fuel efficiency,” she added.
