Hawaii gas prices ticked up slightly in larger areas of the state over the past week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch. Today’s statewide average price is $3.32, two cents more than last Thursday, three cents higher than a month ago and 26 cents more than a year ago, according to GasPrices.AAA.com.
In Honolulu, today’s average price for regular is $3.15, two cents higher than last Thursday, three cents higher on this date a month ago and 22 cents higher than last year at this time. The Hilo average price is $3.34, which is seven cents higher from last Thursday, 10 cents more than on this date last month and 31 cents higher than on this date a year ago.
New to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch, in Kahului the average price is $3.78, two cents higher than last Thursday, two cents higher than on this date last month and 34 cents higher than on this date a year ago. Also new to the weekly gas watch, Lihue’s (Kauai) average price for regular is $3.56, which is three cents higher than last Thursday, four cents higher than on this date last month and 25 cents more than a year ago. Wailuku’s average is $3.78, a penny higher than last Thursday, one cent higher than a month ago and 34 cents higher than on this date a year ago.
