“Western U.S. gasoline supplies surged by approximately 2.4 million barrels to 30.7 million barrels during the past week, the largest one-week build up nearly 26 years, according to a weekly report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaii general manager. “The sizable supply coupled with lower demand is continuing to push down prices. However, the price of crude has been slowly increasing which is starting to push up pump prices in some areas.”
