“Hawaii gas price levels in some areas are now comparable to California, which has the highest gas price average in the U.S.,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaii general manager. “Drivers can save fuel costs by aggressively shopping around for the lowest prices using an app such as AAA Mobile, driving at lower speeds, keeping tires properly inflated, removing excess weight from the vehicle, and avoiding jackrabbit starts.”
Motorists can find current gas prices along their route with the free AAA Mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android. The app can also be used to map a route, find AAA discounts, book a hotel and access AAA Roadside Assistance. Learn more at AAA.com/Mobile.
