The AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch indicates that gas prices are holding steady throughout the region.The statewide average price for regular unleaded is $4.56, which is the same as last week and 13 cents lower than a year ago. The national average gas price is $3.02, which is one cent less than last week.
In Honolulu, today’s average price for regular unleaded is $4.46, which is one cent more than last week and nine cents lower than last year. The Hilo average gas price is $4.71, one cent higher than last week and thirteen cents lower than a year ago.
In Kahului, the average price is $4.59, which is the same as last week and 22 cents lower than a year ago. Lihue’s average regular price is $5.18, which is the same as last week and five cents lower than a year ago.
