“AAA predicts that residents of Hawaii and other Pacific states will travel in record numbers this Thanksgiving holiday, despite inflation and the highest gas prices ever for this time of year,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaii general manager. “After two years of disrupted vacations, consumers are continuing to prioritize precious time with family and friends, and are economizing in other ways if needed to make up for high prices at the pump.”
AAA Hawaii reminds drivers they can save money on gasoline by shopping around virtually using a tool like the AAA Mobile app, which shows users the cheapest gas prices near them. AAA members can also take advantage of discounted gas prices at participating Shell gas stations by joining the Shell Fuel Rewards® program.
